The "Golf for a Cause" inaugural charity golf tournament in Beijing is in support of Educating Girls of Rural China. EGRC provides educational opportunities to young women in remote, disadvantaged regions of Western China, allowing them to escape the cycle of poverty. Your participation in this tournament will directly contribute to the mission of EGRC.
EGRC believes that educated women have educated children. Educating women is a fundamental way to lift people out of poverty and build better societies.
Educating Girls of Rural China (EGRC) was founded in 2005 in Canada and legalized in China in 2017. Over the past 16 years EGRC has worked at the grassroots level in rural Western China to provide young women with vital financial and other support to achieve high school and university educations. The students have achieved a 99% graduation rate.
